Who says what people say or do.

Its Thursday, and we have worked this week to get the material ready for the Sunday education program that we will begin on the 14th.  There is some reading that needs to be done, so people need to be able to get their material this Sunday.  I told you all that to say this, sometimes it is the people who do the behind the scenes work that make things really happen.  I watched this morning as four people gathered around a table and spent a couple of hours sorting, punching holes, organizing, and filling notebooks to be distributed on Sunday.  That is after a couple of us spent a few hours yesterday copying material to be sorted, organized…..
My mind went to the people who do all the background work for any type of performance.  I doubt seriously that any of our vice presidential nominees wrote their own speeches.  I also seriously doubt that any of the presidential nominees wrote their own speeches.  Does it really matter?
I wonder if the writers of the text in the Bible were aware of the profound power their editing and changing for correct grammer would have for generations to come.  I wonder if they ever believed that people would take them so literaly some 2000 years later.  I wonder if they toiled over their choice of words, the way that these people toiled over making sure the right paper was in the right place in these notebooks.  It seems to me, that we are so anxious to find the PROOF of God, that we often overlook the God in each of us.  That part of us that longs to love and care for each other and to honor and respect them in ways that are unusual in this day and age.
Let me always search for ways to honor the God being in each person I come into contact with each day.
